Stage 3 Rezoning
In July 2018 it is the intent of Spring Creek to apply for Stage 3 rezoning of the community. Spring Creek continues to evolve as planned about a 1/3 of the community still operates as a lease land mobile home community and camp ground. The original land lease community members were given 15 years notice in 2004 which was met to end in 2019 but that in being extend for some areas as far as 2022. Spring creek continues to provide to those lease land community members first opportunity to purchase the 5% Perpetually Affordable Units (PAH) provided as part of the re-development.
By the end of the Summer 2018 Spring Creek Drive will be completed from Main Street to Bow Valley trail with Canmore's first complete streets program. As part of the Rezoning of Stage 3 there will be some minor changes to areas also in Stage 2 that can be found as part of the application. There are also a few changes to the Spring Creek Comprehensive Residential District also contemplated at this time that also can be found as part of the application.
